When these funeral homes were sold in 1984, Raymond and Tom Brady, purchased the Houghton Home in St. Albans, and began the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home. Jeffrey is the son of Raymond Levesque, great-nephew of Fredrick Terrien, and great-grandson of Anthony Terrien. Jeff graduated from The New England Institute of Mortuary Science at Mount Ida in 1993. He is the fourth generation of funeral directors in our family to graduate from the same funeral service school. Upon returning, Jeff began working full time at our funeral home. He is a former member of the St. Albans City Fire Department, where he served as a pump operator and firefighter for over 23 years.

Anthony is grandfather to Raymond Levesque and great-grandfather to Jeffrey Levesque. Allen began working at our funeral home in the early 1990's. He is a graduate of the McAlister Institute of Funeral Service in New York City. While in New York, Allen worked for the Hirsch & Sons Funeral Home.

Jeffrey and Allen, bring more than 75 years of combined professionalism to our staff. Christine Levesque is Jeffrey's wife, and is an important part of our funeral home. She assists in many aspects of the funeral home, such as secretarial, transportation, and is always participates in whatever way she can to care for our families.

In 1918, Anthony Terrien graduated from the Dodge School of Embalming in Boston, and began funeral service in Richmond and Essex, Vermont. Seeing there was a need, Anthony and Mr. Willy, began the Terrien & Willy Vault Comapny in 1934. It was the first concrete burial vault company in Vermont. They made, delivered and installed concrete burial vaults, similar to those we use today.

In the historic Houghton House, they have maintained all the comforts of this colonial home to make our facilities feel like the comfort of your home. At later meetings you'll be able to discuss your arrangements in greater detail, but we're always available in your time of need to provide emotional support, a sympathetic ear, and careful guidance. Michael Supernault joined our staff in the summer of 2017.

He is the fourth generation to guide the Brady, Levesque and Terrien families to care for the deceased in northern Vermont. Thanks again for making the process of caring for, and honoring Maureen easier. We’re all appreciative for your support and professionalism…everything was done exceptionally well, it was a beautiful service.

The memorial service director can guide you through all facets of the service; including memorial service flowers, casket choices, appropriate music selection, and local accommodations. The professional, devoted staff can assist you in making funeral service service agreements, funeral planning, and assist you through cremation choices. When you meet with a member of our staff to discuss your arrangements, we'll first provide you with a general price list to give you a basic idea of what our services cost. We'll then walk you through the entire arrangement process, and ask you about your loved one to gain an understanding of the person the services will honor. A burial vault is required for most cemeteries, but you may choose to purchase one online or elsewhere, if you'd wish. She is employed full time by Mylan Technologies, but is a valuable assistant at the funeral home. She assists in keeping records, producing prayer cards, and procuring documents for us. She also accompanies Jeff when called to make a long distance trip. Christine enjoys cooking, interior decorating, vacations, and going on cruises.
